How We Rid Dallas-Fort Worth & Houston, TX Properties Of Cockroaches
Inspection
When you call us about cockroach treatment, we’ll send one of our technicians to perform a thorough inspection of your property for any signs of roach activity, as well as conducive conditions that allow them to thrive.
During the inspection, your technician will check water aspects inside the house, looking for plumbing leaks as well as clutter in the attic and garage that create conditions conducive to a roach infestation. Other conditions we’ll look for include torn screens, woodpiles, clogged gutters, trees and vegetation touching the roofline, etc.
Initial Service
After the inspection, we will devise a strategy to eliminate them based on which type of cockroach you’re dealing with.
German cockroaches are among the most common infestations we deal with in Dallas-Fort Worth. Due to their habits and biology, every German cockroach infestation is different. We will do baiting and monitoring to ensure that we’ve eliminated the population and to see where we’re at. We will also do residual treatments with dust and liquid applications to defend against them as well.
For other types of cockroaches, our treatments primarily focus on water areas. We will use the dust material primarily, though we can also use liquid or baiting when necessary. We will also treat the attic to take care of any activity happening up there.
Follow-Up
Due to their quick reproduction rate, cockroaches often require more than the initial treatment to eliminate completely. Failure to treat the entire infestation only allows it to come back in a short period of time, so the professionals at All-Safe Pest & Termite provide follow-up treatments and use residual products that keep you protected into the future.
We also take steps to help minimize your risk of attracting cockroaches to your property. During the inspection, if there is grout in the bathrooms that is poor quality, or if you have clogged air filters, we will give recommendations on how to solve these issues as they could be conducive to future cockroach infestations. On the exterior, we will recommend fixing torn screens as well as eliminating wood litter around the outside. We also recommend cutting back trees and shrubs from touching the roof of the property.

Where are cockroaches found inside Dallas-Fort Worth homes?Different roaches are more active in different areas based on their habits and lifestyle needs. American and German cockroaches are among the most commonly found in kitchens and pantries, while Oriental cockroaches are more common outdoors. Where you find the roaches in your home could be an indicator of what roach you’re dealing with.
-
What’s attracting cockroaches to my home?
Like any pest, roaches are always in search of food, water, and a safe shelter. Unfortunately, your home provides plenty of all three resources, making it an incredibly tempting target for roaches. Leaving food out, leaving dirty dishes in the sink, keeping your trash stored in unsealed containers, and failing to vacuum regularly are all factors that could give roaches a reason to come inside.
-
Why are cockroaches such a difficult problem to eliminate?Cockroaches are difficult to eliminate for a number of reasons. Identifying them and tracking down their nests can be difficult since they can get into almost anywhere inside the home, and are typically only active at night while you’re sleeping. Cockroaches are prolific breeders, so if your treatment fails to address all the problem areas throughout your home, you can expect the infestation to return in a matter of weeks - or even days. For this reason, cockroach treatment is a task best performed with the knowledge, equipment, and care only a pest management professional can provide

How do cockroaches get into homes in Dallas-Fort Worth?
Cockroaches are resourceful and can enter into homes in a number of ways. They could have found an opening in your walls or floor that allowed them inside, or they might have snuck inside if you left a door or window open. Sometimes, they can get inside by hitching a ride inside bags, backpacks, purses, and suitcases. Check your belongings before taking them inside.

Are cockroaches dangerous?
Cockroaches are dangerous in many ways. Cockroaches live in filth, and when they enter residential spaces, they bring all the bacteria, parasites, and pathogens they’ve picked up inside with them. They are known to aggravate allergies and asthma, especially in young children. They will also contaminate any food they come into contact with through their saliva and excrement.
Why Professional Treatment Is A Necessity For Cockroaches
Cockroaches are dangerous pests that can put your family and pets at risk if they invade your home. Studies have shown them to be the cause of allergies and asthma due to the debris they leave behind, namely their droppings and their dead bodies.
Unfortunately, due to their fast rate of reproduction and ability to get into almost anywhere, it’s next to impossible for the average homeowner to eliminate a roach infestation completely using DIY methods alone. Without the tools and techniques available to a professional pest control provider, your efforts could easily go to waste, failing to treat the problem while allowing the infestation to persist over time.
